It is an image, it is a moment saved in time, it is a moment frozen in time And it is a moment that is captured from time and saved as a memory in the form of a tangible image. Pictures hold visual memories of ourselves and our past, They are supposed to be reminders that remind us even when we’ve forgotten how that moment was or how it felt during that moment in time.
Memories are treasures their value cannot be measured as they are too valuable, pictures are also containers or storages of our memories.
But nowadays people do not value the memories that pictures hold, they take for granted the value of photos or pictures, We now know how to be fake, how to smile when you are frowning just because we wanna click that amazing selfie.
We now click photos and post them on various social media accounts, just so we can get those many likes and follows. Even when we are sad we click photos with hashtags like never been happier just so we can convince others that all is well. The “others” being the people that we never really met with ever in our lives. They are the people that we’ve met only online.
We now have a habit of displaying false realities in pictures, we are no longer real even to our selves we now live fake lives that are sucking and draining the life out of us.
