Self love, learning to be yourself

True happiness is when you are with the people who love and appreciate you for who you truly are.

Surely not everyone is gonna love you in life, Not everyone is gonna like you in life. If you haven’t then someday you are gonna meet some haters, some pretenders and some fake people. You have to be smart and be able to read a person’s character clearly, you have to be able to recognize your true friends and family not only in bad times but also in good times.

Fake people, fake friends and pretenders are those people who appear only when times are good, they are those people whom you have to impress on a daily basis, they are those people who never really care about you, But only care about their status in society, ie, (they only roll with the high rollers, if you can’t afford to be one any more then they discard of you).

I wonder why most of us humans are foolish enough to keep repeating the same mistakes time and time again, we see these things happening everyday and almost to everyone but we end up getting back to the same trap over and over again. IF THEY WON’T LET YOU BE YOUR TRUE SELF,IF THEY DON’T LIKE YOUR TRUE SELF, THEN THEY ARE NOT YOUR TRUE FRIENDS, they are simply not worth it.

Learn to love yourself first, learn to be yourself first and surely real people will start flowing into your , real people who will love you for who you are. Their presence will overpower the scarcity and need of love in your life so much that you will end up not having any void in your life. Happiness will over flow into your life.

Choose yourself by choosing to be real, bieng real ain’t easy but it’s the best thing you can ever do for yourself in life.

Yes, very true. One has to clean up one’s room, so to say. Get rid of what is not good. I’ve done quite some housecleaning. The people allowed into my close network are the true friends. I do much better without the others…be blessed.

Thank you for your comment and support and good for you in life only True friends and family will be able to love you even when you can’t love yourself, and they will always be there for you. Take care of them and appreciate them cause they are the only ones who will be left when everyone else leaves

True words. By accepting ourselves we learn to appreciate and love ourselves, we feel the void and we attract the same kindness, respect and love that we shower ourselves with back to us. Well said

Unfortunately, too many of us buy into the pop psychology that says we need to “learn to love ourselves.” Biblically, every one DOES love their self per Ephesians 5:29. We need to reinterpret what we experience in the light of the Bible. People keep falling into “the same trap over and over again” because they DO love themselves. We need, instead, to learn to love God more than any human, and then our neighbors … “as we love ourselves.” (Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:36-40) It is assumed in the command that we DO love ourselves.
